The whale shark of Oslob is not just an attraction. It is a confrontation with your own smallness. Twelve meters of calm, filter-feeding grace moving through the water like it has nowhere urgent to be and all the time in the world to get there. You watch it and something in you loosens.

The Giants of Oslob Tee is a tribute to that moment. To the fishermen of Tan-awan who changed their relationship with the sea from hunting to protecting. To the gentle giants themselves, who come every morning and ask nothing of us except that we don't touch them.
